About Our Family and Blodgett Calls

Blodgett CallsBlodgett Call Co. was established in 1990, but started setting its roots as early as 1980 with experimentation in the art of turkey call making.

This passion was instilled into our family at an early age by our father. A dedicated sportsman with a drive to master his every endeavor, he taught his sons patience and sportsmanship, and to respect the wildlife we pursued.

Most of all, the eldest Blodgett taught his sons to accept nothing but perfection when it came to the art of the hunt, and to grow from the mistakes made afield. Hence our passion to build the perfect game call.

In the early 80's, we were told that it would be impossible to produce a quality, hand-made friction call out of exotic wood that would be competitive in today's marketplace. This only drove the Blodgett family to master the art of friction call design.

With the help of our best friend and uncle, we spent countless hours in his woodshop developing what today is considered a benchmark in the industry: the Blodgett friction call.

Blodgett CallsWhat puts Blodgett calls above the rest, besides the fact that we've won the world friction call manufacturers championship three years running, is the fine craftsmanship and attention to detail that goes into every one of our game calls.

The Blodgett friction call is known as the most consistent call on today's market, and its volume is second to none. The Blodgett family's early roots in the glass blowing industry led to their expert knowledge and understanding of the properties of glass and its acoustic value in game call applications.

The Blodgett friction call line has stood the test of time with its heirloom quality craftsmanship, volume and game-producing consistency.

As the sound of these fine calls echo in your favorite woods, may the turkey gods shine!

Sincerely,

The call makers of Blodgett Call Co.
